FROM THE EDITORS
Dear readers, We are pleased to present to you the 14th issue of our journal, İzdüşüm, which has been prepared with a multidisciplinary perspective touching on different layers of the disciplines of Political Science and International Relations, after a long and rigorous effort! As the İzdüşüm team, we aimed to create a platform in this issue where our friends can freely and critically express their thoughts and write about their observations and ideas in any area of interest. Our effort as Political Science and International Relations students to make sense of the complex structure of today's world is nourished not only by theoretical knowledge but also by individual experiences, cultural analyzes, and regional studies. The issue you have in your hands has been shaped precisely as a product of this multidimensional approach.
We have organized this issue of our magazine under five main headings. Our articles focused on global, regional, and political analysis contain important clues for understanding the dynamics of the international system. These articles, ranging from power relations to cultural interactions, aim to encourage thinking about the world not only as it is but also as it could be. Our authors offer a wide range of observation and research from Southeast Asia to the Middle East. In the section on studies of society, democracy, and politics, we wanted to once again show all our readers that politics is intertwined with all aspects of society. The articles in this section range from the academic foundations of politics to the role of women in social life, from sports organizations to fashion trends, and also demonstrate that every aspect of life can be approached from a political perspective. In the next section, we presented articles examining the connection between art and politics in the contexts of music, cinema, and books, showcasing the strong relationship between art and politics from our own perspective. We once again highlighted how art, while encompassing the struggles people face, connects contemporary and historical politics. In the next section, we wanted to share our unforgettable experiences that will particularly interest our student readers. We hope that the experience articles shaped around the Erasmus exchange program, internships, trips, and academic conferences will inspire our readers. In our interview with our graduate Diclehan Altınöz, our readers can find inspiration for their future careers. In the interview titled "The Positioning Strategy of the USA in the Context of the Upcoming NATO Summit" with the Chairman of the Board of the Ankara Policy Center, (Ret.) Ambassador Fatih Ceylan, we aimed to present the topic from the perspective of a senior diplomat. We concluded this valuable issue with our newsletter, where we listed the important events of the past year month by month.
We would like to thank all our authors who contributed to the preparation of this issue, the Editorial Board who worked with great dedication to prepare the articles for publication, and our department professors who guided us at every step. Our aim is to reflect analytical and critical thinking in both politics and our daily lives in this journal, which is entirely the result of student work, and to share our findings with our readers. We hope this issue encourages you to ask new questions and develop different perspectives.
We wish you enjoyable reading.
