It is aimed to increase the visibility of universities with the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP), which is an external evaluation method that enables the quality assurance, education-training, research-development, social contribution, and management system processes in higher education institutions to be evaluated within the scope of the "planning, implementation, control and taking precautions" cycle. The process is carried out by independent evaluation teams, including the international evaluator and student evaluator formed by YÖKAK, within the scope of Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Criteria and Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Guide.
Our university, which has been a pioneer with the "Quality" emphasis and vision of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, the Founder and Chairman of the Executive Board of our University since its establishment, has been included in the process by being among the 12 universities accepted to the Institutional Accreditation Program in 2021.
The evaluation team determined by YÖKAK continued its work throughout 2021 and made online and on-site visits after the examination of our University's 2020 Internal Evaluation Report. Based on the decision taken at the Higher Education Quality Board meeting on April 27, 2022, following the Institutional Accreditation Report prepared by the evaluation team and YÖKAK examinations, our University was entitled to receive a 5-Year Full Accreditation.
Our university, which continues its quality journey with the title of the first university to receive the TS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate in 1998, has National / International Programme Accreditation in 31 programmes.
We would like to thank all our stakeholders for their support to increase these successes achieved through the harmonious and coordinated work of the Baskent University Quality Commission, Quality Assurance System Unit, and Academic Unit Quality Commissions.
